Description:

This bike has an integral lock for securing the bike while parked. The lock is a steel cable that also serves as the frame "down tube" (running from near the peddles diagonally upward toward the handle bar area). If a thief cuts the cable the frame is weakened and the bike becomes unridable.

Secondary Problems (side effects, weakness or concerns) with this example:

Vandalism vulnerability: bike can rendered definitely unridable very quickly, possibly as quicly as one squeeze of a cable cutter tool. Ten of these lined up could be taken out in seconds, then vandal is on his way. This level vandalism takes much longer with conventional bikes.
